One winter.
27 cantons.
One book.
Between November 2025 and February 2026 I cooked one dish for every Swiss canton. Most of them for the first time, in one take, in my parents' kitchen. It's what set this channel's Swiss identity in stone.
People argued in my comments about a soup. A local paper in Neuchâtel wrote about the dish I got wrong. A man from Thurgau simply told me to make something with apples.
This book is that whole winter in one place: every dish, every story, ready to cook.
Four pages
per canton.
The story
Why this dish belongs to this canton, and a facts panel: capital, year of accession, languages, area.
The dish
The finished plate, photographed once, exactly as it came out of my kitchen.
The recipe
Ingredients and method, plus what to serve and what to drink with it.
What you need
Everything laid out before you start, with substitutes if you cook outside Switzerland.
27 recipes. All 26 cantons plus Liechtenstein, from Rüeblitorte to Züri Gschnätzlets.
A substitutes guide. What to use instead of Sbrinz, Schabziger or Süssmost.
Honest about changes. I don't claim authenticity. Some recipes are my own interpretation, and I say so.
Built for cooking,
not for browsing.
An intuitive layout so you can focus on what matters: every canton has the same four pages, in alphabetical order from Aargau to Zürich. This is Vaud.
I'm not a chef. Every dish in this book was cooked once, with what a normal supermarket sells, and photographed with an iPhone and a therapy lamp. If your version looks like the picture, you did it right. If yours looks better, I'm not surprised.

How do I get the book?
Right after payment you can download the PDF directly on the confirmation page. You also get the download link by email.
Is it a printed book?
No, it's a PDF. Read it on your phone, tablet or computer.
Which measurements does it use?
Metric: grams, decilitres and °C. Oven temperatures assume a fan oven.
I don't live in Switzerland. Can I cook this?
Yes. There's a substitutes guide at the front, and almost every recipe says what to buy instead.
Can I get a refund?
Because it's an instant digital download, all sales are final. If something doesn't work, write to me and I'll fix it. Details in the terms.
